    Turbo conversion?

    Hi all,

i have been looking into turbo conversions for my astra, its a mk4 sxi 1.6, but some of the prices i have seen are abit silly, i think it was £4,000 for a turbo fitted to my engine.

Has anybody on here got this done?
    is it worth the money?

    any help will be great

    Cheers

cheaper to drop a zlet in to yours. than to put a turbo conversion on your 1.6

would be easier to get a gsi lol, if your not willing to pay stupid money to mod it insurance would probably work out cheaper too

Definitely a better idea just to buy a coupe turbo/gsi/sri turbo with the current price of them rather than doing a conversion which will leave you with a slower than them car anyway.

yeah i was after an sri-turbo but couldnt find a decent one anywhere, and cant get insured on a coupe turbo, well i can, but its abit expensive for me at the minute, it came out at about 1,800 and the sri-t was only around 1400 i think
