    HELP!! Derestricting Airbox

    please can someone help? i have just removed the 2 pipes in my air box as per the how to guide but i now have a whole where the bottom pipes lug was, should i have put the longer pipe back in? if yes then why does it say remove it?

    *ps i may just be being really thick here!

    leave it... it's fine with the hole there

    or if it's really worrying you stick some tape over it

    Thanks, i wasnt sure if i was missing somthing....

    what about cutting down the piece ive just taken out? has anyone tried that, just thought if theres a hole there the air will escape into the engine bay?

    The whole inlet is under vacuum as the engine is trying to suck air in.. it can't escape outwards into the bay

    Cutting down the pipe and refitting it will just reduce the dia of the pipe back to where it was, which sort of defeats the object of removing it in the first place

    leave it as is or just stick some duct tape over it

    i thought the same so i just put a bit of gaffa tape on it XD hahaha i would of cut mine down as you say but i had to destroy it to get it out. i'm a wee bit impatient at times

    i left mine in after reading your thread nry so cant really compare it to before but the only very miniscule flat spot i have is just under 2000rpm where the intake makes an absolute beast of a bellow noise
