Astra Sporthatch - Debadged - how?

How can I remove the round silver boot badge and the badges on the chrome strip without damage to the bodywork?

do it on a warm day or get a hair drier and heat up the glue slowly (but not too close to the bodywork) and gently pull the badge away.

Once you have it off try get rid of the excess glue doing the same as above and then put a polish over it to blend the paintwork so you dont see the outline of the badge.

I didn't apply any heat, but did use a credit card to ease the badges as you lift them from he car. Excess glue (double sided tape) removed with a small amount of white spirit or similar

Anybody got pictures of a debadged Astra rear? Preferrably black! Just so I can see how it might look. I might have a go at this tomorrow.
