Just a bit of a gurn I suppose cos I'm in a bad modd with the car...
Had a clicking inner C.V. joint on the n/s about 3 months ago, So I pulled the car off the road to get it sorted...
The day before I was taking it off the road it was smashed into, meaning it needed a new rear quarter panel...
I Was quoted 5 days by the body shop, but they ended up having the car for 5 weeks
Ordered an inner joint, Once I got the car back, it arrived and it was wrong
So I was told it had to be a whole shaft, ordered, it arrived and it was wrong
Got another replacement from the same company, it was also wrong
A full 2 months later I recieved a driveshaft, it was correct fitting
I was well happy, as In the meantime I had de-catted the car, and fitted a new dumpvalve.
So I got her back on the road on Saturday, Drove around 10miles and the turbo had started to smoke,
Not being too bad I decided it's okay to drive till I get a replacement,
Now tonight the new driveshaft has sheared off inside my outer C.v. joint
SO all in all, in my 2 1/2 years of Gsi ownership the car has done 658miles due to one problem or another,
I think I'll be bidding farewell once the shaft and turbo is sorted this time.
Anyone else had this much trouble with their astra?
