    How does a Punto 1.9 JTD V's Corsa C 1.3 CDTi compair?

I have the Punto as a run about and looking at getting the Corsa for Laura.

Corsa and Punto are the same car. The 1.9 is a heavy, wheezy lump (it's the previous generation to the 1.9CDTi used by Vauxhall). The 1.3 is a far better job.

The 1.3 Cdti does go well in the corsa, when buying one listen out for timing chain noise & check service history, these engines use 5/30 fully syn oil.Around the 05 plate they were fitted with a dpf which brought the tax down to £35 a year as opposed to £120 for the earlier ones, personaly I'd prefer one without the dpf.

The £35 a year Tax is one of the reasons we are looking into buying one.

I thought they all were in the £35 Tax bracket

DPF is fine if you do at least once reasonably long journey a week, so the soot can burn off.
