    Where are you based buddy??

Most decent one I know to is the MPG & Regal one, the plug in boxes apparently aren't as good.

If I was ever to get a diesel, I always said that I would slip one of these tuning boxes on, the fact that you can adjust them or remove them easily should the need arise.

But having spoken to a couple of knowledgable chaps(electronics gurus in a local Naval dockyard), they seem to be under the impression that some of these tuning boxes are little more than glorified 'resistor modules' like you get off ebay. How true this is I don't know but it made me think!

It does seem that the remaps produce less smoke.

try having a search or posting your query in the diesel section for a better answer.

Your other option will be to get something like the IPF and do it yourself.
