Well today i picked up my new wheels so had to clean them before fitting them.
First was wash (main task) and was cleaned with megs hot rims and then washed with CG Maxi suds. This did not shift much at all as there was a thick layer of brake dust on them. It was so thick it would flake off in places lol, so off i popped to Halfords to get some super strong wheel cleaner.
I'm ashamed to say it but i had to use some wonder wheels to get them clean on the outside. So after what felt like a life time all the muck was off the outside and most was off the inside. So washed with maxi suds again to ensure all wheel cleaner was removed.
Dried off and left to fully dry for 10mins. they then made a trip inside my house to get glazed and waxed (cos knight rider was on lol). Glaze was CG EZ Creme glaze and wax was Collinite 915.
All clean and waxed i took a trip to my dads to get them fitted as i have hurt my shoulder and cant really use it. wheels swapped and then i dressed the tyres with Megs Endurance tyre gel.
Didnt get any during glazeing or waxing so straight to finshed and fitted.
