    Things in Essex

Next month I will be spending a week down Essex with the family and I was just wondering what is there to do down there for the kids.

We are looking for place's to visit etc.

    Cheers in advance

Where abouts in Essex are you staying?

Southend has amusement park and plenty arcades. There is also the sealife centre.
Colchester has a Zoo and Roman ruins.

What sort of interests do you have?

colchester zoo, not too far away from you

walton on the naze is a nice sea-front to go to, simply because of the views, and un-spoilt (almost) scenary!

Colchester is a very old town so you should def visit the Roman ruins.

Heddingham Castle shouldnt be too far you either.

oooo my neck of the woods!

Colchester Zoo is the top of the list.
As for everything else there's GO Banana's and Rascals (clacton's version), shopping Freeport in Braintree, strawberry picking, Natural History Museum and Colchester Castle.

Colne Railway (have Thomas the Tank Engine events)
    Tiptree Jam Factory

Then of course you have Magic City in Clacton, the beach and the amusements
