    Lightbulb cambelt prices for job

Ok guys.. Ive had a quote of £250 from a reputable well known garage to fit me a new cambelt, water pump, and alternator belt. Price also includes coolant and labour.

This sounds competitive to me seeing as I cannot do the job myself and wouldnt want to try it on a 16v engine!

Any thoughts , experiences? things to watch for? Appreciated muchly as always.

Another question....Out of interest, how many of you guys would be tackling this job yourself?

Dont worry, I'm not thinking of it!

Im in South Yorkshire Jalfrezi... I need to know as well if my pump actually runs off my belt or not? because some people have told me the pump might not even need replacing.

edit.. far away so no worries Geezi. If you were up the road i'd love to have you fit it for me so i can watch and learn coz I have a feeling the garage wont want me sniffing round them while they work and i hate that!
