    My car thinks its electric!

Yes as the title says it thinks its electric, basically being bloody hot and all today and stuck in a jam in know where else than the M25 of course, would prefer a breeze but it was going to happen crawling at 1mph. So whacked the Air con on as you do (my car is a 54reg 1.4 16v astra enjoy) and it starts working.

Now the curious part i heard these use about 5bhp but omg it felt more like 30bhp missing from the cars power i suppose at 70mph not to bad as your just cruising. I'm having to give it a few more revs otherwise its going to judder and stall. Also first gear sounds hilarious like the car should be plugged in rather than filled with petrol. Anything above 2.5k rpm it sounds like a electric motor a very strange noise compared to when you drive it normally.

Any advice is something knackered or is it just because of my puny engine ???

    Many Thanks

    Dean
    Kind Regards,

Had the car a year so no, and i doubt the previouis owner did either. Still comes out nice and cold, and i make sure i have it on when sitting still so the valves dont seize up.
