A/C fan - suction or blowing?

Is the A/C fan on Z20LET (coupe turbo) a suction or blowing fan?
I´m thinking of getting an Spal high performance fan, but I´m not sure which type do I need.

Has anyone installed a Spal fan, which model did you use?

well ive had probs, 1st fan i tried with OE switch came on then went off and coolant light came on, used a 7" spal worked fine, but was too small, got 2 9" spal atm but they wont work via switch, have done a temp mount, but thinks need 2 get it to electrical specialist 2 have a look at it

You need to use the inline resistor from the oe fan and you need two 7" or 9" fans because of the wattage you need to draw throught the circuit.

one fan regardless of size does not draw enough wattage as the oe fan so the OBD thinks their is a problem and your EML will come on.

yeah cheers, thinks these spal fans aint suitable, has 2 be as power coming from switch and plug but fans not working, even though they work en connected 2 battery, i had a cheapo fan before, now that came on, stopped and coolant light came up, suggesting what u said bout drawing power, wasnt drawing enuff so shut it down, maybe best option 2 buy 2 of them cheapos and try them, well not cheap as in over £70
