    mod chip

    has any1 had any experience with these, is it worth doing and can it wreck the car

    Link doesnt work but if its on ebay its probably a resistor in a box that will make your car think its running cooler than it is and just add fuel (Like running on choke)

    does look as if its one of those plug in boxes, please dont use it, it will mess the car pretty quickly as will be overfueling... serious damage!

    Yeah, just had a look. It's the old resistor in a box trick. Basically shifts the resistance of your air temperature sensor to make the car think it's really cold thus causing more fuel to be injected. It will use more petrol, it will cause sooting in your engine as fuel is not fully ignited, it may damage your engine, it will not add any quantifiable amount of power.

    Basically it's a load of tosh and although it's a cheap mod, it'll end up costing you more in the long term on fuel and no spark plugs.

    EDIT: The save your license e-book included is a load of rubbish as well. A load of 'tips' cobbled together that simply piss police officers off when people try it on.
