    tire pressure

Well i had not done my tires since the previous owner because i havn't had the car too long but i decided to do them tonight. Driving round town in the day it said the fuel consumption was about 25mpg ish, when i checked the pressure they were really low, around 26 all around, when i did my tires 36 front and 33 rear i was getting up to 36 mpg around town tonight is that right ? its a 230bhp astra T and is 36 front and 33 rear best?

Check the manual for the car - tyre pressure is for a car not a tyre size, so whatever the OEM pressures were this is what you need.

i personally do 30psi all round. i'd say 36 was a tad too high on the front.

My MK4 1.6 16v is 31psi front/28 rear, I'd guess the larger engined cars might be a little higher?
