Trying to find a live feed from dash for neons

    Hi guys
Took my dash apart trying to source a live feed that only comes on when turning on my headlights. Ive done it in a few cars in the past but these fancy connectors with a locking bar make it difficult to test the wires as they disapear into the connector. Can anyone tell me how they have wired in their foot well neons/cathode tubes.
    Thanks in advance

there will be a headlight feed going to your headunit mate, not sure what colour wire it will be but thats your best bet...

but i would use a relay and get a permanent live feed from the battery as it will only be a signal cable so maybe not powerful enough to power neons, plus it will protect your cars standard wiring harness from any damage from your aftermarket parts.

    Welcome mate

I'd need to know if your car has the large rear fuse box before offering advice on this. Also are you after a headlight feed or side light feed?

No there won't as it's on the canbus wiring and even if it was a MK4 it would dim with the adjuster on the headlight switch

    Hi guys
Sorry for the late reply but just returned from Blackpool.
I was hoping to jack in to the wiring loom at the back of the heater or radio, the one that lights up the illumination when you turn on side/headlights.
    Many thanks
