    A Bit Late But...

...Just thought that I would share my weekend at the British GP with you all,

I haven’t had time since we got back on Monday.

So the day started off early and we left home at 5:45am heading towards Milton Keynes.

Just before 8am we arrived at this very nice hotel

On arrival into the hotel we had Champagne and bacon rolls followed by a safety briefing before the flight.
Our Helicopter coming into land at the Hotel.

The traffic in the air was horrendous

But not as bad as the A43.

    Silverstone from the air.

The Helicopter safely landed at the circuit.

Then driven to the hospitality suite where breakfast was served and we could watch some of the GP2 action.

Then after lunch watched the awesome red arrows show.

    Followed by the race itself.

Then after some more food and beer watched the classic car race.

Then the Euro Fighter Typhoon air display just before heading back to the Hotel via helicopter. The sound of this plane was awesome and the speed at which it moved across the sky was phenomenal.

And on the way into the hotel I managed to get a picture of my car from the air in the hotel car park.

All in all it was an awesome day. The helicopter ride was great, very smooth landing and take off. Certainly beat the traffic. The food was absolutely awesome, the track action was superb and the noise and shear speed of the F1 cars was staggering. food, beer and champange on tap all day

Any the very best bit.....it was all free

im so jealous. went to the raceday last year but only made the qualifiers this year. theres nothing like the sound of a racecar roaring past when youv just arrived, puts a big smile on my face everytime.

dont mean to be cheeky but what sort of price are we talking for the helicopter and hospitality suite? would love to take the wife to be via helicopter, thats if its still there next year.

Yes I had brown sauce ...a bacon roll just isn't the same with out it.

As for cost i didn't ask, thought that would have been a bit rude but I believe it was around £1000+ for the hospitality ticket per person and around £500+ for the helicopter per person.

Wow looks like an awesome day. Thats certainly one way to arrive in style to the F1 GP. I bet everyone was wondering who exactly you were to arrive by chopper.

How did you manage to get it all for free anyway?

Its was offered to me via work from one of our suppliers as a corporate hospitality event.

TBH there were a lot of helicopters there on the Sunday, it was like a mini Heathrow, but it did still feel very specially rocking up in a helicopter
