Bumper Torx Screws Rusted and Rounded

Can anyone give me some ideas on how the **** I'm gonna get these screws out? They're as good as welded solid due to rust, and they've rounded.

There's nothing to grip onto with mole grips, and I can't saw a notch into them as the hacksaw isn't strong enough and I don't have any angle grinders. I've doused them in WD40 too.

Garages want two hours labour to do it for me, so sod that.

    Help is appreciated!

If you can get to them with a hacksaw, cut a slot in the head so you can use a flat head screwdriver. We were lucky when Geoff changed my headlights as we just about get purchase on the screws with some molegrips.

Buy a dremal, its how I got mine out. use the cutting disc to put a slot in the screw, then just use a big flat head screwdriver. A dremal type tool can be bought for £20-£30 from Maplin, so a lot cheaper than 2 hours labour.

Shame your not closer, I could have them out for you in about 5 minutes lol.

Thanks all! Yeah Ive been trying with a hacksaw but you just cant get the angle, even with it jacked up. You have no idea how close I was to loosing my temper and kicking my car. Ive been in a right pissed off mood all day cause of it lol.

Thanks all the same for the offer Buckle. I'm gonna see hoe much it would be at a local garage to simply get them to take the bumper off and give me new screws. I take it (although 99% illegal) I could drive the half mile home without the bumper?

i used a set of pincers

jammed them in behind the head of the bolt then pulled and twisted until it was far enough out to get the mole grips on

then cut a groove in them once out so i could put them back in using a flathead screwdriver

Hmm, something like that would be brilliant, although I think they're that rusty, I'd struggle to fit even those behind the flat (washer like) part of the screw.

If it's OK with you, could I borrow them some time to see if they do the trick?

    they werent mine mate

i borrowed them off my grandad

i'll not be going up there for another couple of weeks or so but next time im going up i can grab them for you if you still need them then

to be honest though it was hard work and if i'd had a dremel available at the time i would have used that
