    VXR turbo on Z20LET. Experiences?

Maybe gonna buy a VXR turbo to my Z20LET, cause i'm quite sure it is broken (another thread).
Z20LET turbo is a real rip off, especially here in Finland and i'm considering of orderin the VXR one as a replacement. Just have got somehow and image of the VXR turbo that it is no good.
I'm running on standard map, with no plans of doing remaps in future either.

If you have VXR turbo on Z20LET, please answer:
Is the VXR turbo good for Z20LET with standard map
Had any problems? How many km's have u used it?
... and also tell if you have some remaps.
Did behaviour of the car change?

Couldn't find any thread like this with search...

vxr turbo is a lot stronger than the let turbo. you can use the vxr turbo on a map up to ph3.5 with boost adjustments
i just fitted one to a customers car on a standard map and they noticed the difference straight away!

best way to go is get the vxr unit sent to turbo tech's and get it upgraded.theres been alot of problems with vxr units on the zlets nobodies sure why but most put it down to poor fitting.

Would probably be a good idea if people replying to this said whether they had it fitted in a garage or home fitted. As Inmyvain said there seems to be a connection between failing VXR units and them being fitted poorly.

I had mine fitted by Regal about a year ago - never had a problem. Covered about 10k miles.

    Running stage 3 as well.

Good, seems like people have nicely working ones VXR turbos. Only the faulty ones were reported here as usual.

i am going to pay courtnay to supply and fit mine as i no it will be fitted perfectley, and shudnt have any problem's..(if ppl have ad problems with there turbo from courtnay plz enlighten me)

i sed to courtnay " apparentley vxr turbo's aint that reliable on z20lets, a few seem to have problems with them, there reply was...its how you fit them. you need to be in a clean enviroment when fitting it due to debris may get into turbo if fitting in own garage or yard ."

i no there guna charge abit but i want it to be r8 on my car....also guna get it mapped on same day and get vxr and afm fitted before remap....
