    SRI-Turbo insurance

    Hi all.

just wondering how much people pay on their sri-turbos, i am 19 and will have one years no claims in september, my cheapest quote is 1,700 through confused.com

i am really tempted to get one, but was just wondering if i could get my insurance down abit more, i will be 20 in january so that may take it down abit, due to me being older lol

    Cheers

I wouldnt complain mate, £1700 on a sri turbo is cheap as hell at 19, im paying about that on the new 1.6 turbo sport hatch an im 21 now with 3NCB. Id also check the quote before you go out and buy one as I got a quote off confused, bought the car, rang up and quote went up to 4k!

You being young driver, with large engine and with turbo will rack up the insurance. that price for 19 is very good, but always approach company direct where you got the cheapest quote from. As they would need more details and you could see insurance increase more maybe?!?

Being 20 will only reduce you insurance tiny amount. you are still classed as a "young driver" and have low NCB.

Good luck with finding good deal.
Remember try Dan from Adrain Flux on here. He might be able to give you a hand somewhere

Cheers for the advice, and iain i PM'd Dan and he said the price is about right for my age and NCB etc. so im thinking of ringing the company and checking it all through to make sure its not going to change, then maybe get one if i can lend the rest of the money off someone

ill be dropping an leh in mine as soon as gman gets back to me, and my insruance company said it would only increase by 270 as long as i allowed one fo there engineers to come out and they approve it. so id be paying 1600 or something at 19 with 0 NCB!
