    CDTi 150 fuel computer problem

    Guys,

Drove car a couple of miles beyond 0 miles range last night, so went to garage and put in 10quid of diesel. Fuel level on dash is showing just less than 1/4 tank but computer is still displaying 0 miles.

Anyone esle had this issue before?

    Gav

It'll kick start itself again after your next journey or so.

By the by - it's bad patter leaving it that long before putting fuel in. You're sucking all sorts of crap into it

I never get his comment on new cars. Its a plastic tank with a filter and you always get the fuel from the bottom of the tank anyway

yep, I agree but you're more at risk of sucking in sediment when it's near empty than full.

Cheers for the info. Car is still under warranty so if it presists it'll be back to the stealers!

Not in the habit of letting it get that low, was just in the hunt for a cheap petrol station late last night! Petrol prices are so varied up here.

I use this all the time... it might only be a few pence.... but over a year, it soon mounts up!
