    Changing clocks???

    Hi all! Will i be able to simply switch the clocks and will they work? mk5 sxi. Thanks

    ok its gonna be 50 quid all in and lots of sets on ebay so must work, but i'll see if i can get an agreement for refund if they dont work.

    the immobilizer is built into the clocks, and you need to get the matching code with your clocks, then get it tech 2, or else it wont start

    Is this facts as i have been told that the ignition section holds the imobilizer? I would rather keep my money in my pocket obviously for summit else

    You can't just swap them.

    Why would you want to? If it's just for a different design you could take them to bits and swap the card over, that's fairly easy.

    well the car was front ended and everything shifted and clocks were hanging loose. i may try that card switch as nothing to lose. they all work just clips bust and i thought if its just a case of switching it would be 10 min job.
