    Coolant hoses for z20let

    looking for some coolant hoses for the let I have the rad hoses but would like the header tank and other coolant pipes, I have seen some lenghs of hoses on ebay but not sure about size etc

    any advice please

    take one of the header tank ones off and measure it or roose motor sport sell them.

    can silicone pipes be used or do they need to be the reinforced type for these pipes

    I've been wondering the same too mate.
    I have got silicone on there at the mo, as temporary emergency piping, but Vaux mechanic reckons they need to be reinforced, as there is pressure & heat going through them.
    Not sure myself, but the silicone ones do feel rather weak & squash easily.

    I had some cheap eaby silicone ones on the coolant tank - but they are shite

    just took em off today after one was leakin - the other developed a nice scorch mark off somewhere

    fitted the standard ones and all is well..................... well it helped pinpoint the main coolant leak which called for some top notch bodgetastic sunday-no-shops-open modding!

    I've had 8mm Samco hoses on my coolant tank for nearly 2 years with no problems, not reinforced just normal 8mm hoses.

    I can find staight hose 1m lengh but for the coolant i think we need the flexable hose as it bends quite abit and am stuggling to find 8mm in the flexable type

    staight hose will be fine just make it a bit longer then needed so the bend is bigger
