    Pace FMIC .

Why does the pace setup have such small pipework ?

All the boys who use the universal way say that 63mm is best if not then 57mm, so how come such a big a respectable company have made the kit using smallish 51mm pipework ?

Would this become abit of a restriction at say 300bhp ?

The kit was probably developed to fit without the customer having to go to the hassle and expense of changing other parts of the car/pipework as having to do this would put many potential buyers off.

no it will of made a bit less power at top end
put with big pipe work you will make a few less bhp at top end an make more power lower in the rev range

i've got a pace front mount, and i seriously wonder why its got a 45mm inlet, 51mm piping is way to big. Trust me. i tried making 51mm pipe fit it, and ended up making it fit using some spacer silicone. im running 280ish bhp.
