Quick Question... looking for a quick answer

    Been spraying my bumpstrips...

I managed to get 5 light coats on but had to stop... They have been elft for almost a week, and I'm going to continue tonight

Upon feeling the bumpstrips they are a little rough... do you suggest I wet sand them with 1200 first? before applying anymore coats?
Or just continue regardless of the texture

    Cheers

If you're talking about the primer coat, then this needs to be wet sanded with 400 or 600 grit before applying the paint coat. You can wet sand the paint coat with 1200 grit before spraying the lacquer, but ensure you leave enough time to dry or it will all just come off!

I wet sanded the primer with 1200 before spraying the paint

i then elft it 24 hours, applied 5 coats of paint... and left them all week, coz i ran out of time, I've just got home, wet sanded the strips, and continued spraying... I've just done a fairly heavy coat of paint, so I'm gna leave it a good hour to dry instead of the 25-30 mins I did for the light coats... I reckon another 1 or 2 medium coats should finish me off
