    Head Gasket

Hi, not sure if this is the right place to ask but I have recently bought a Mk4 Astra SXi that has done about 52,000 miles. I was just wondering if anyone knew at what point the head gasket starts to wear out as my last car's head gasket blew at around 50,000 miles. I'm starting to think I'm on borrowed time with this one lol

    Any ideas anyone?

what was your last car? you should be ok at 50,000 miles

i'd say maybe around the 100,000 plus mark. but i wouldn't worry about it too much, checking your fluids regularly is good practise regardless though, and looking at your temp gauge every now and again.

I had a Fiat Punto before. Yes, I know. I've heard all the jokes about Fiats... but it was my first car, I've moved onto better things now
