Arrow Zaf Gsi Central Locking Gone!

    Hope someone can help,

Unlocked the car this morning and the doors seemed to struggle to unlock but the car started fine so i thought nothing of it. That was untill I got to the local Tesco and realised I couldn't lock the car but the button on the key, the key itself or even pushing the buttons down on the door. First thing I did was check the fuse, it had blown, replaced it now but still no joy. Had a little fiddle with the buttons on the doors and finally got them to push down and lock. They seemed to have pushed up too far when I unlocked it this morning. Still no joy with the key or the buttons on the key though and have to individually unlock/lock each door from inside. The remote is working fine as the the alarm still sets but just no lights flash and doors dont lock. The new fuse is still fine and not blown again.

Anyone shed some light on this please, it would be much appreciated!

Bumping this thread twice in 4 hours isn;t going to help you get a answer. Alot of us have been at a wet car show today and have been up since at least 5!

Did you make sure the fuse went back into the same postion? I kno it may sound like a stupid question but sometimes it's the simple things.

I can only think whatever caused the fuse to blow might have damaged the central locking unit at the same time

I'd suggest you get it looked at by a electrician before ordering anything though

what ever it was happened between 7 and 10 this morning so god only knows as i was up and about early and it was all working fine. central locking unit expensive? the NSR door hasn't been locking with central locking since i bought it like, would that be the mechanism in the door itself or could it be connected? had it 16 months now though. thanks for your replies mate.

On the Zaf's the wiring into the rear doors break so that could be your problem

Because you said you have a alarm the locking unit will be around £200 plug programming by vauxhall
