    funny liquid in back box

    Hey folks lately when i been out and about in the car i've noticed theres a watery black liquid on the bottom of the back box exit pipes. after i been and done my bussiness come back to the car and it will have evaperated which tells me its water( or something similar), the coolent bottle is still as i filled it, about xmas time. which tells me its not that?

    any suggestions people, any help much appreciated

    but its a nice enough day, haven't had much rain for long enough. it looks like someone came with a bottle o water and poured it over the exit pipes. like 3-4mm covering the bottom of the circle pipes.

    if its that i'll be happy with that, but i recently changed the standard back box to a performance exhaust about a month ago, when i took the box off it must have had a good half litre of water in it. bit puzzled....

    Exhaust is cold, then heats up rapidly causing condensation in parts of the exhaust which is then push to the back box by the escaping gases, which some times doesnt burn off right away.

    For every litre of petrol the engine burns, a litre of water is produced and some of it wil stay in your exhaust system.

    I don't think you have anything to worry about.
