just wanting to know about sorting the temp gauge out. the lad I bought it off had a go and said it was working for a small while but it's not working he replaced the gauge in the back of the clocks for a corsa one? I am going to fit a digi dash when I have time, but would like to know the temp in the mean time. Also because the fan is controlled by the original ecu which is no longer there it is set to be on with ignition live. i was going to replace the radiator with a vec or astra one with a temp sensor in. is there any other way that people have done? ta

Hi, to get the temp gauge working you need to use the original temp gauge sensor from the mk4. you need to remove the c20let temp gauge sensor from the stat housing and drill and tap the hole so that your mk4 temp gauge sensor fits.
The wire's for the mk4 temp gauge sensor are: brown and blue/red.
the c20let temp gauge sensor that needs to be removed has a single blue wire.
    its simple enough to do.
