    Symptoms of a bad Cam Sensor

    my astra 1.4 16v..only starts up sometimes..and when it does start, sometimes the engine managment light comes on. So i was wondering if could be the cam sensor

    my 1.4 corsa did this, it would turn over for ages then finally start, sometimes it would cut out when i was stopped, and the engine light was always on, mine was a crank shaft sensor

    already changed the crankshaft sensor.

    I have had a cam sensor go and the car would not rev past 4000rpm.

    The crank sensor is the one that tells the ECU when to fire the spark, power the fuel pump etc.


    Have you read the fault codes?
