    many people on here do.

Any pics of your messy/patchy job?

When they're fitted, is there any way you can paint something you shouldn't when spraying/brushing, or is that only really possible if you take them apart to do?

Think i'll go the tin & brush route

i used hammerite smooth black on the backing plate and halfords brake calliper paint (red) for the callipers.. the halfords brake paint is very high temp paint.., both are brush on,, need to wire brush callipers and then spray with a good brake cleaner first then paint,, the results are great ,, this is on an astra gsi turbo arden blue...

Hey mate this might help you.

    1) Remove tyres.

    2) Use a wire brush to remove the paint. Make sure you remove most/all of the paint. Use a steam cleaner/brake cleaner to remove any brake dust or grime.

    3) Mask the calipers with tape and use drop sheets to surround your car to protect from over spray.

    4) Using a Caliper spray paint (ask for it at your local auto shop you will probably need two cans) do a light coat on the calipers and wait to dry.

    5) Keep spraying light coats (about 4 or 5 on each caliper) so that the paint is even and make sure you get into all the gaps.

    6) remove tape and sheets put the wheels back on and your done!

    Hope that helps
