    spluttering when put foot down

    hi all...
recenlty came over from the c20let onto the z20let in an astra coupe(51 plate)
cars runnin bailys dump valve (read the posts about the probs the can cause, so tried with the std on, without it etc, still same...

so... whats a common fault with them to make splutter as accelarate? or sit at half throttle in 3rd/4th gear for example (thats why done the dump valve test)
    air flow meter?
water/injection temp sensor? (know they were bad for going on the ed-tops)..

changed plugs.. (off top of head cant mind what got in it at mo, copper and somit else)
and changed the coil rail.. number 4 was all brown on the rubber.

no error codes have came up, just doing head in, with a code would come up, then might have an idea whats up..

    cheers for any heads up/help

not had the car on a rolling road, so dont know about bhp.. old owner said it had been done to a phase1.. no paper work though.

i know from time owning the calibra turbo, when that was running eds phase1/standard, you could tell a BIG difference fen chips were on. i dont notice a big boost with the astra

plugs... ermmmm.. there chopper somits..lol.. not got tools here at home to check, at work.

whats the recomended plugs for the z20let then? ive heard from a worker at a tuning place, that GM standard plugs are usualy pretty good, ie upto 250bhp...

    so, what plugs... and gaps?
    cheers

GM ones are crap mate in a tuned LET, mine last 15 miles or so then start to break down and it spits flames lmao although on Phase 1 it's not boosting as high but I'd not use them TBH

Best are either NGK iridium BKR6EIX or Denso IK24 (Denso are better out of the 2 but more expensive) the Denso ones need to be gapped to about .67mm

Dannysport uses some Cosworth ones and I know a few guys use Bosch Super 4 (not good over 250bhp ish)..

Sparkplugs.co.uk are the best place to buy them from
