is cleaning your AFM with say carb cleaner or brake cleaner reccomended?
id say carb cleaner mate im sure i have read that somewhere
shouldn't need cleaning as it lives in filtered (clean) air
Jeeze...the throttle body is after the breather stub on the inlet pipe, that's why it gets crudded up.
The AFM is before the breather, and lives in clean air
But by all means spray a freezing cold aerosol propellent on a very fine wire and see what thermal shock does for it
Ahh, thanks for clearing that up, just thought the throttle body got dirty because of dirt in the air that wasn't filtered by the air filter.
i wouldnt think cleaning your afm would cause more harm than good, particularly if you cause a short.
