what a day!
i started a 1pm and finished a 11pm
i came accross a couple of hurdles. you guessed it a snapped stud at the thermostat and the cooling mod needed a slight adjustment.
i managed to drill the stud out and had to bend the pipe that goes along the front of the head to avoid the intercooler to throttle body pipe. also 1 of the hoses that came with the cooling mod needed rerouting.
i had to replace the oil return pipe too as the old one leaked and now the new one leaks too lol. where is bolts onto the turbo there is a slight bit of seapage even with a new gasket . tomorrow i'm going to double check all the bolts and see how everything is.
been a quick drive tonight and all seems well. boosts fine and smooth and no strange noises.
time to get a new fmic and stage 2 on the ipf
