    quick answer needed

    hi i have just put my amp and sub in my car done a good job untill i started the engine and now have a high pitch whistling whiring noise whats causing it

    whats making the high pitched whirring noise? wheres it coming from? does the noise stop when you do anything in particular? does it change with revs?
    give us abit more to go on

    you can only notice it when the engines running and when the volume is down it does get louder when the engine revs i have 2 rcas and when i take 1 set out of the amp it stops it seems to come from the speakers or sub

    make sure you get a really good earth as mentioned previously. If need be, strip back some paint to the bare metal somewhere and bolt the erath to the boot floor or something

    you could try fitting a supressor to the alternator
    had to do it on my nova

    only couple of quid from the likes of halfords

    Defo sounds like a rca/power problem
    Make sure you run power cable and remote together
    on the opposite sides of the car, had this prob when
    did my first install 10 years ago! Also check that there is
    no paint between the earthing metal and your earth cable
    just rub it down with sandpaper to bare metal and bobs
    your uncle, hope this helps
