    Exclamation Electrical problem

Hey, I've just noticed a strange problem with my 2003 astra g and was wondering if anyone has any ideas how to sort it.

Whenever I switch the sidelights/headlights on, all of my interior lights go out (meaning my needle backlights, radio etc.) as well as my main screen (which usually shows the radio station). This has only just happened, and can't think of anything that would've triggered it. It isn't affected when I just flash my main beam, but as soon as I put the lights on properly they all just go off.

Anyway, I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction!

    Cheers

    ive done that countless times.

also the MFD clock thing and mile display stay on if you have your lights on and take the key out. couldnt work out why they were still on until i opened the door and heard the headlight alarm sound. tool.

You will have knocked the dimmer getting in and out of the car. When its at its dimmest, the dash lights go out almost completely when you turn on the lights.

My mum does this all the time in her Corsa.
