Can anybody tell me where to get a breather filter as i am removing my crossover pipe and i have seen that you can redirect the breather to a filter, am i right? Also i was wondering the advantages/disadvantages of doing both mods? I wil be romoving crossover and using my apexi power intake. Thanks for your help

Breather filters available from ebay, (16mm neck IIRC) Halfords or decent motor factors.

Advantage of venting vapour to air is that you won't have so much oil smitch going through your turbo and throttle body etc.
Disadvantage of filter is that you may get toxic fumes coming through your airvents in the cabin, and its probably an MOT failiure to vent to atmosphere.

I'd plumb it into your new intake setup. Otherwise its going to smell, and pretty sure its an MOT failure as Montyfox has said.

I have mine vented into the engine bay for the time being, waiting on my breather to be delivered from ebay. It really smells especially after a good run. The best way to plumb it in is:

    * If you are using a 2.2 Airbox, drill a hole in the lower part of the box under the air filter and run the breather pipe into the box and put the breather filter on and put the box back together. See K3FUS's 2.2 box here: http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/sh...3&postcount=25

    * If you are using the 1.9cdti box then the best way is to plumb it in after the afm on the pipe before the turbo. See dannysport18's 1.9cdti box here: http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/sh...2&postcount=16

I'm planning on running a length down to the bottom of the car, 2.2 aribox setup, would be slightly wary about pumming it back in before the MAF but if its been fine for Keith for 2 years then I'm sure itl be fine
