a week ago started the car when finished work and it sounded like was running on 3 cylinder (like a subaru) so left it warm up and drove it to nearest petrol station cz light was on so i guessed i cud ov picked up crap from fuel filter.... put fuel in and restarted car and idle fine........ drove it home then and drove fine when got home turned car off and come in house for a lil while and then decided to check car to c what was wrong with it so started up(was bit slow at startin)and it sounded like running on 2 cylinders and had to have foot flat to the floor for it to idle pluged code reader in and it brought up random cylinder misfire,cylinder 1 misfire,cylinder 2 misfire so i checked plugs and they seemd ok but changed them any ways and cleared codes and turned it ova and it was still the same,pluged code reader in again and brought up coolant temp sensor....... poped down local factors bought 1 come back fitted it cleared codes and turned it ova again and was the same....... pluged reader back in and still was coolant temp sensor so cleared code once again and went to start it and wouldnt start i tryed everything resetting ecu by unplugging battery the lot...... i phoned up aa and told them car wouldent start so patrol turnes up pluges his code reader in and brings up same faults as mine but he tests coil pack and that was fine checked plugs and they were ok but it wouldnt start so got aa bloke to tow me to nation wide auto centre,left it with them......... 3 days go by no phone call from them 5 days come still no word so i went down nationwide...... asked them what wrong with it THERE ANSWER tbh we duno......... they said we had our macanics on it 4 2 days and a vaux specialist (suposidly) on it 4 3 days and he duno whats wrong with it...... they then said they where goin to get a auto electrician in to have a look...... 1 week later went down there and auto spark just gone.but car was running but eml and traction control light was on and abs light.garage recons the map sensor/boost sensor was f**ked and there was a break in the cable goin to coolent temp sensor.
grabs my code reader plugs it in brings up afm (p0100) and speed sensor so i told them to replace afm and speed sensor.
hopefully they will have parts in tomorrow and replace them and ill check for any other faults,
i thought a map sensor/boost sensor would have brough up fault codes??????
