    rocker gasket cover

    are these easy to do just ive got oil everywhere and car wont start now ive been told its the rocker gasket cover by a mechanic and ive got the parts so is there a 'how to' or has anyone done there own?? need some help asap please

    They are easy to do, but need to know what engine.

    im guessing its a zlet.

    easy job, undo the bolts remove and putnew one in. dont over tighten.

    If it's a 1.6 its dead easy.

    - Remove the two screws in the middle of the plastic cover
    - Remove plastic cover (after removing oil cap)
    - Disconnect coilpack plug on the right hand side
    - Remove 2 screws on coilpack, and remove
    - Remove the screws holding the cover down
    - Remove cover and old gasket
    - Fit new gasket
    - Put it all back together

    yeh its a 1.6 16v n thanks alot also how will i get the oil out the spark plugs or will it go when i take it apart also will i need to do an oil change??

    When I did mine I used a lot of tissue to absorb as much of the oil as possible. After that I'd remove the spark plugs and allow the remaning drops to be burnt in the engine.

    No need to do an oil change. I would clean the plugs while they're out though.
