Yet another problem with the Zafira gsi. So I am wondering if anyone has any advice on the following.
The coolant/aircon warning light keeps coming on. (the one in the odometer not on the clock)
It only does it once the engine is hot, generally at about 90 degrees on the temp monitor. It is fine when moving but almost slways when warmed up and I get stuck in traffic for more than a minute or so the warning comes up.
I have looked at it when the lights on and there seems to be plenty of coolant in the header tank, it's actually about the level it indicates on the tank where to top half is joined to the bottom half, if that makes sense. The radiator fan also seems to kick in as the light comes on.
I have changed the sensor in the header tank and the tank itself recently (because of a crack). I have put in new coolant for what its worth. I have also tried getting any airlocks out by leaving the cap off overnight. I have also tested the system with a pressure tester device that I borrowed and it all seems to be airtight.
I know the manual says that it is coolant/aircon warning and you can keep driving but I want to get it sorted as its going to be taking the family to France soon. Besides who wants to run a car with a known fault.
Thanks in advance
