    EGR Valve

dont mean to sound dumb or anything but BASICALLY..

went to a cruise and saw a golf. it was 107bhp when he did a RR and then he blocked the EGR. mines is running around the 120bhp mark.. i couldnt keep up to this golf and he swears its the EGR valve..

basically what i would like to do is how to do it and what affect it has on the car
    thanks

    Johnny

well blocking it wont make it faster it will just stop using it... so cleaning it will be the same sorta thing....

mine is very scary now it feels like i have the sport button on (after cleaned) so its helped. i think the egr is the same on both cars.. just take the cover of and have a look take ya time its easy i did it and jhave never touched a car b4... im going 2 clean it every 2 months
