Astra Mk 5 - Hankook tyres?

    Gday

Need 2 front tyres to replace worn Bridgestones

Had 2 more Bridgestone's put on the back 2 months ago.

However someone has told me about these HanKook tyres (Korean) that will probably work out a bit cheaper but are good tyres.

    Any comments would be appreciated??

    Cheers

Got a Mk4 1.6 16v using them. I really rate them, I haven't managed to get these out of shape yet and when your really pushing you can feel the traction limits as the tyre just begins to roll over the surface sideways, but it really takes alot to get them there.

They wear really well. I could kill a set of Conti's within 5000 miles, theses have been on for 20'000 and they are only just about ready to be replaced. Will defo be buying them again.

Obviously the MK4/5 don't share the same chassis so characteristics may differ slightly.

I had the on the MK4 also and they were 'ok' - total shite in the wet though and that was with the car sitting on it arse.

On the MK5, I've put on GSD3's and they're working out really well. A little bit more expensive than the Hankooks but worth it!
