    Astra MK4 driveshafts

    Hi all

I have a 2000 plate Astra 2.0Di 16v with a blown nearside driveshaft.. my question is, will all mk4 driveshafts be the same as my model?

for example.. will a 1.7td driveshaft fit my 2.0? or a 2.0 petrol etc..

Trying to get car through its MOT so dont want to pay full retail price for a new/re-conditioned one.

    Cheers

    Lee

5 speed manual box.. lift-up reverse.. I though all mk4 Astra's of that age had the same manual box.. I know my grandfathers 2002 1.8SXi does..

Vectra Shafts are the same, you just need to split off the ABS ring.

the 2.0 DI/DTI and 2.0 Petrol used F18 and later the F23, same shafts.

the 1.8s and smaller use F17 and the shafts won't fit.

    Am i reading this correctly?

the astra mk4 2.0 diesal turbo driveshafts and the 2.0 petrol turbo driveshafts are both used with the f23 gearbox? I have a z20let engine and f23 gearbox and cant find shafts!

I dont think the z20let with f23 shares with any other

vxl told me my z20let had its own type of drive shafts, I paid £500 for a new ns shaft

Just because it may have a f23 box dont assume the shafts and joints are the same

The LET uses a 2 part shaft, but you can use the single piece shaft from any other F23 AstraG or Vectra.
