Following on to another post I made about poor accelleration with my 1.4 16v. To narrow this down a bit further as it seems to be happening more so when the car is warm. Starting from cold the car seems nippy enough but when it warms up a bit it seems as if its holding back and not taking the boot well. Engine runs fine and is not misfiring. Revs perfectly well when in neutral. No jerking or shuddering or cutting out when driving. Idles perfectly - it has me stumped.
Trying to identify most likely cause and wondered initially could it be the MAP sensor but now I'm also wondering could it be the coolant sensor or O2 sensor thats at fault. Wondered whether fuel mixture is not correct when warm perhaps or something like that. The throttle body is spotless and the symptoms are not very EGR like as far as I can see. Just wondered if anyone can shed some light on this or experienced poor accelleration in the absence of other symptoms when the engine is warm.
The only other symptom the car has is the rocker cover gasket is shot and has a slight oil leak. No EML light on and I can't get any fault codes to show.
