    Astra MK5 Estate SRi

    HI People,

    First time on the site.

We have recently bought an Astra SRi Estate from a dealer and have had a nightmare with them.

The car in a straight line will pull to the left, on any road, A Road, B-Road, Motorway. The dealer says that this is a safety feature!.

Is this correct or am I being naive?

    Regards

Are all the tyre pressures correct? Is there any uneven wear on the tyres?
    Speed cameras don't work.

Tell the dealer that although pulling to the left stopped you from hitting oncoming cars, you happened to run 5 or 6kids over on the path, but your ok!

A car should pull in a straight line with the sterring wheel pointing straight, on uneven roads it will tend to wander, but on a straight, flat road it should go straight!

Take it back mate demand they sort it out for you. won be alot doing it.

On a straight, flat, perfect road, with the steering wheel correctly aligned and straight, the car will still pull to the left slightly

    How severe is the veering?

    Correct that man.

More to the point, Welcome to AOC, post up some pics of your car (so we can properly assess your steering )

Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring
