question for the experts on Z20LET pipe work

Ok guys bit of help please -Z20LET

I am going to be running 63mm pipe work with 63mm top hat and boost pipes now my question is, if i have an intercooler that has 57mm inlet and out let would this cause any restriction problems if i have to use a reducer in and out of the intercooler? The intercooler has 65mm core and is 18cm high and 70mm long

yeah it would restrict it as the inlet is 57mm there for the rest of the pipe work is 57mm from that point on

No not at all... and in fact 63mm pipework is a little overkill if you ask me! I'll be going for 60mm pipework and again like you ... 57mm cooler
The only way to be 100% certain that work has been done properly is to do it yourself.

    Lol.

Good luck doing 63mm, i managed it, bumper bulges out both sides and your fogs will rub on the boost pipes. Youll also be probly touching the subframe with your boostpipe aswell as resting on the rad.

Depends where you run the pipes, what pipes you use, how you fit them and what bumper you have.
The truth is always the truth even if you haven't realised it yet...

63mm pipe would slow the air down a bit more over 57mm an thats what you want to do slow it down so it spends more time in the intercooler

57mm inlet and outlet on the intercooler & 51mm boost pipes until you get to the powerpipe = no problems at all. this is my setup and i'm glad I chose this as I will still see 270bhp all day long.

I bought 63mm elbows and 2 63>51 for the join at the turbo and powerpipe.

It does catch on the o/s fog lamp and one side of the bumper keeps popping out but other than that its a good set-up i think.
