    MK4 SXI Seats - painfull

    HI,

My first post on here so Hello to all - great forum from what I have seen so far .

Own a 2003 1.6 16V SXI 5dr - has anyone else found the SXI seats to be really uncomfortable, the lumber support is in the wrong position. I've also had 2 passengers make comments about the uncomfortable seat.

What are my options ? I have been thinking about replacing the front seats with those off of a lower spec car that does not have the sports seat or buying aftermarket ?

    Any thought appreciated.

    Cheers, Rob

My mate has a SXI and i find the seats like sitting on stone.
Must be how they are meant to be but SRI's have much softer and adjustable settings

I have the sports seats in my Astra Mk4 SXi (with the red squares upholstery, lumbar support and thigh adjustment).

And I have to say that since I have owned the vehicle, I have got a bad back.

Despite all the support and adjustments, I can never seem to find a comfortable posture/driving position.

I wouldn't say I find them painful as such, because they don't give me pain directly (nothing is pinching or sticking into me). However I definitely feel the effects of the seats for the rest of the day at least, even if I've only done a short journey.
