Thumbs Up Hor far can I lower the car?

I have a 1999 Astra mk4 1.8 16v sport. I have just bought coilovers and wondered if anyone knows what the maximum you can effectivly lower the car too with 17x7 alloys with 215/40 tyres on.

Looking to drop it about 60mm on the front and 40mm on the rear to start, should I be ok?

    Cheers

youll need to check what offset (ET) your wheels are mate

should be stamped on the inside somewhere

60/40 is just a drop in the ocean and you should be perfectly ok - as long as the offset is at least 38-49 youll be fine on 7J x 17s and could realistically drop about 70-100mm if u are further up towards the 49mm offset range

    yeah sounds about right

seeng as its a7J then the offset can be a little lower than normal

but as u just wanted to go a safe 60/40 anyway i say youll be perfectly fine

you may have to trim the arch liners a tad but nothing major

what suspension u planning on using
