    thanks

i took a look under bonnet but its got all this other stuff attached to the airfilter tubing goin into engine so was guessing you could just put cone on end where airbox is.

any cone filter will give a better noise, but itll most probably suffer from heatsoak ... so he'll get lower performance

if he wants a better noise how about a new back box ? more expensive but could free up some bhp

    lol thats what i though

but its where to mount a cone like that would i just removew the airbox and place cone on end of that instead? and leave all the tubing from the engine alone?

    thanks.

thats why i wanted a pic to see how others might of done it.

well what i'd do is D/C the air box and stick the cone on in its place

there may be a breather pipe for something else (oil??) .. its really small compared to the main air pipe

the cone (if any good) should have an adaptor for this little pipe aswell

but i don't know your configuration looks like.

with my 1.8 coupe its just cold air feed > air box > to the another pipe and to the engine so i would replace the airbox with the cone ... but i would also try and get a cold air feed to it
