    Angry help please

hi everyone. i currently own an x plated vauxhall astra 1.6 16v.(z16e)

it broke down on me recently. the service light came on and goes in to something called limp home. i have had the diagnostics run on the car and it came up with the following codes. accelerator peddly postition a and b. i was told to change the pedal, this did not cure the problem. since then i have done the following:
    • changed the throttle valve
    • replaced many sensors around the air box
    • had all the wiring loom out, gone through it with a fine toothcomb and replaced any faults with it.
    • the fuel tank has been taken off and cleaned along ith the fuel lines. there is a new fuel filter on the car.
and i still have the fault. i am running out of idea's and dnt really want to put it into vauxhall as it is likely to cost more than the value of the car.

    does anyone have any suggestions??

the only idea i have left is to change the ecu. does anyone know where i can purchase one without it costing an arm and a leg.

any help is more than welcome. thanks dave

    Hi ya,

Find a local Gge in your area who is top notch(A1) on a diagnostic machine, then get them to run live tests especially on the Throttle Potentiometer, then start from there.

ps. You might need to clear any old faults down from the ECU, reset and start over.
