    cabby roof

    does anyone know how to wind the roof down manually on my 02 astra cab?no electrics connected at moment and need get top down!!!!

    i know you can put them up manually but dunno about down? there should be a tool somewhere that fits into the little hole in the centre of the sunvisors, like an allen key that unclamps the front of the roof, then theres a leaver in the boot to pop open the hood cover, i assume it just folds up then, u got ya windows down?

    If you have the 4mm allen key, unwind it alot so it won't unwind anymore the front of the roof lifts on it's own about 6inches, lift front some more buy hand, then lift up the back, open boot to release hood cover, SHUT BOOT, then lift the hood cover and fold hood into place. It's alot easier with 2 people, dunno where you are but if your local pm me

    is it just an ordianry allen key? i found a rusty old allan key in my spare wheel well but didnt know what it was for so i threw it away lol, i have got allen key though

    thanks 4 ur help guys,managed get roof down 2day(with sum gentle help wiv hammer lol)thats the gud news!!but found its not an electrical prob ,its the pump!!!!aaarrgh ,its completly sh.....ged,as anyone got one or know wer get um fixed??!
