you can make it into a v6 rwd if you look at the thread on that then the back end will be the same just wont need the dash changing for the monaro block will be a case of changing the gear box though not sure what to

Have a look on mig, theres a guy who's converting a mk3 astra to rwd, an another guy who has converted his mk3 astra to 4wd. I know you've got a mk4 but I'm sure it can be done, well I know it can, because Pete on here managed to put a v8 in his astra coupe! lol I'll all depend on how deep your pockets are and/or how talented you are with a welder

    Add 888dan on Facebook
suppose you could use a cavvy 4x4 doner car . f28 box and space frame the back end a little to mount the rear arms . the mk4does have a bit of a tunnel underneath so weather u could run a prop shaft down there and move exhaust over to the side ???
aint they a few mk4 awd's about , ice race type things . see if you could googalise that for ideas. id love the 888 to be 4wd but dont have the balls to fire up the disc grinder on it ......... yet :-)

    I really miss the Astra

I'll tell you now, it's not for the faint-heated.
The car was cut to bits.

A LOT of knowledge, blood, sweat, & tears went into this car.
If you don't have any welding, mechanical, or electrical skills, I suggest you don't attempt it.
You will need a VERY deep pocket too.

Anyway, check my dad's Auto-Biography Skin of an Astra - Heart of a Monaro

Should give you an idea on how much hard work went into the conversion.

But the efforts were worth it.
    0-60 in 3.8 secs & reaches speeds of 200mph+

    Pete
